Along the French Riviera, between Marseilles and Toulon, lies the small fishing village of Bandol - an area best known for their spectacular, age-worthy rosés. Bastide Blanche bases their rosé on 30-year-old Mourvèdre vines grown in the hillside terraced vineyards of Saint Anne de Castellet, a terroir of Bandol blessed to be particularly rich in limestone - a soil type that brings out arguably the best in the grape. Adeptly balancing a complex depth of flavor and a structured palate without sacrificing its freshness, it features lovely aromas of raspberry, peach and blood orange with flavors of ripe cherry fruit and spice on its lengthy finish.
